A
domain name, also called a web site address identifies your site to your
customers. It allows your customers to reach your business without having to
remember an obscure IP (Internet Protocol) address. Each domain name must
be unique; however many domain names can point to the same site or to pages
within a site. For example if you type www.FineE.info
into your browser you will reach the www.FineE.com
site. You can have any number of domains, each pointing to a particular
page on a site.
We
provide your business with everyday low prices from $10.02 per year for
registrations of .com, .net org .info, .biz .us and .name domains. You can
register for any number of years between 1 and 10 years and any number of
domains with no minimum. There are no additional charges such as one time
membership fees or "internic" fees. It is not necessary to purchase
any additional products or services to obtain these prices. The
transactions are completed on a secure server. Your credit card will be
processed in US dollars by GKG for .com, .net .org .info, .biz .us and .name
domains. Prices for other extensions are indicated on the table at the top of
this page and on the corresponding websites. All prices are in United States
Dollars (USD, $), except for .ca domains which are in Canadian Dollars. Free
currency conversion to estimate the price in other currencies is provided by the
Discount-Currency-Exchange Currency
Converter. These are mid market rates, the rate charged to you credit
card will be slightly higher. For the exact currency conversion rate used please
contact your credit card provider.
How
many domains can I register?
You can
register any number of domains
Yes.
Simply accept the default DNS ns1.finee.net and ns2.finee.net
How
many and which characters can a domain contain?
Domains
can contain between 1 and 63 characters not including the .com, .net, .org etc
extensions The letters A to Z, the digits 0 to 9 and the dash "-" are
allowed. The dash cannot be the first or last character. The letters are not
case sensitive so for example FineE.com, FINEE.COM, finee.com etc are all the
same domain. When a domain is used the letters may be entered in lower or upper
case.
A domain
registrar for .com, .net and .org domains must be accredited by the Internet
Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) ICANN sets strict
standards that all registrars must meet. All .com, .net and .org domains
registered through this site are registered with the ICANN accredited registrar
GKG. FineE.com is a reseller for GKG (.com, .net and .org domains). The
country code, third level alternate domains are offered directly by our merchant
partners.
This is
created the first time you register a domain, and is your GKG username. This
username is used for future registrations and to manage your domain. You can
also create a username without registering a domain by using the following link.

another registrar. The price is from $10.02 per domain which includes one
additional year of registration. You will also receive full credit for the time
remaining in your present registration. If you wish to transfer domains from

There are no other additional charges. Changing registrar must not be confused

The
registration process can be completed online in a few minutes. If this is your
first time you need to create a new account with either GKG or the merchant
partner as appropriate. You will also need to provide two Domain Name Servers
(DNS) for your domain(s). (see below). Your domain will be active on the
Internet 24 -72 hours after registration.
Country
code domains are assigned to a particular country. The country code
domains offered here allow registrations from anywhere in the world and work in
the same manner as a .com domain. Many country code domains have a distinct
meaning quite separate from the original country name. The most meaningful
featured here is .TV - Television at www.FineE.tv
The
registrant of a .com domain obtains the second level domain and can create any
number of third level domains below the second level domain etc. So for example
in www.FineE.com "com"
is the first or top level, "finee" is the second level and
"www" is the third level. This site www.Domain.Registration.FineE.com
is an example of a fifth level domain. Same companies offer the registration of
third level domains. Registration of a third level domain involves a contract
with the registrant of the second level domain who is offering this service.
This allows the registrant of the third level domain to use the domain. It
should be noted that certain country code domains are only available as third
level domains. For example in .co.uk domains. "uk" is the first level,
"co" is the second level and the registrant is given the third level.
Every
functional domain on the Internet has at least 2 domain name servers (DNS) that
respond when another computer on the Internet makes a request involving that
domain. For example when a domain is entered into a browser or an email is sent
to an address in that domain. If you already have DNS enter your DNS when you
are prompted during the registration process. If you do not already have DNS for
your domains you may park your domains with us for free by using the default DNS
ns1.finee.net and ns2.finee.net. When you are ready to host your domain you
hosting company will provide you with 2 or more DNS servers to use. Then follow
the instructions on how
to make DNS changes after registration
to setup the new DNS servers.

Change
of registrant changes for country code .mobi, .jobs, .asia, and third level domains
Not
likely. We believe that a dose of reality is appropriate when considering
the registration of domain names for the purpose of resale. While there have
been a handful of sales over $1,000,000.00, these were highly generic very well
chosen names and the seven figure resale typically occurred many years after the
first registration. Many professional brokerage and auction sites will not let
you list a domain until they see your registration on a whois server, and this
can take approximately three days. There may be other requirements. Most domain
sales occur at prices well below $10,000.00 with many sales below $1,000.00. The
domain market is very illiquid, so consequently the registrant must be prepared
in many cases to wait for years before finding the right purchaser. In
addition choosing domain names with the potential for appreciation requires
considerable skill and expertise. And past results are no guarantee of future
performance.
